2005 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships
                         Declaration Procedure

Declarations will be accepted by online submission only.  Please read and adhere to all information pertaining to declarations in the Championships Handbook in addition to the following guidelines. http://www.ncaa.org/library/handbooks/trackIndoor/2005/2005_d2_m_w_id_track_handbook.pdf

Every athlete who has achieved a provisional or automatic qualifying standard must be declared or scratched.   If an athlete has qualified in two or more events and does not intend to compete in all of them, then the coach must state a preference in the “preferences or relay alternate” box provided. Only click “scratch” when you do not intend for that athlete to compete in that event under any circumstances.  When submitting a preference, please be as clear and concise as possible.

Example (Matt Jones has qualified in the 800m, Mile and 5000m):

“I want to enter Matt Jones in the 800m only. If he is not accepted in the 800m, I would like to enter him in the Mile only.  If he is not accepted in either the 800m or the Mile, I would like to enter him in the 5000m.”

To All Coaches Declaring Relay Teams: Please refer to pages 10 & 11 of the Championships Handbook and review and adhere to the procedure for relay declarations.  If you choose to submit a relay alternate (as described under 4.c. on p. 11), you must identify that person as the relay alternate in the “preferences or relay alternate” box next to the event when you declare.
